Using heart rate variability (HRV) as a clinical tool to track sympathetic and parasympathetic activity can teach you what foods we should avoid in our diet. We can use this data to identify individual stressors/food sensitivities. During the lecture, participants will measure their own HRV with polar heart rate monitor and Elite HRV app or with any readily available heart rate monitoring tool before and after food sampling. We ask that you bring a tool to monitor your heart rate. You can use a heart rate monitor, fitbit, apple watch, etc.
HRV has been well-researched in:
- Diabetes
- Sleep disturbances
- CVD (post Myocardial Infarction survival rate)
- Psychophysiology (stress, depression, panic attacks, PTSD, etc).
- Sport performance (recovery, training planning etc).
- Inflammation: Diseases and sport performance
Learn and gain knowledge that can have a positive impact on your future. We can ensure that you will leave with a much better understanding of how to eat for your body.
